Chattogram BGMEA Institute of Fashion & Technology (CBIFT) is a prime institute of Bangladesh.
It is established in 2002 by BGMEA aimed to generate human resource with technical knowledge for RMG sector. Since 2002, CBIFT has been providing various programs including Certificate Course in Apparel Merchandising, Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Engineering & Lean Manufacturing for Apparel Industries, Diploma in Social Compliance and Human Resource Management and short course in Pattern Making for Fashion Design. These Programs are designed with the objective to develop competent technical professionals for meeting the demands of the RMG sector.
CBIFT is situated in Institute of Engineers Bangladesh (IEB) Bhavan at S.S. Khaled Road, Lalkhan Bazar a prime location of Chittagong Metropolitan City, having good communication network. It occupies about 3,000 sft. floor space for classrooms, library, faculty and office rooms. There is rich collection of books and journals in our library. Institute premises are fully air conditioned and facilitated with high speed Wi-Fi Internet connectivity. All classrooms are fitted with overhead projectors, multimedia and other teaching aids. CBIFT has a mission to establish own campus near future.
Under the context of present globalization scenario, from 2013 it started functioning with the affiliation of National University by offering 4 years B.Sc (Hons) course in Apparel Manufacture & Technology and Fashion Design & Technology. All activates of B.Sc program are carried out in a separate section (collage section) at BGMEA Bhavan, South Khulshi. Chittagong.
